Cocaine, Heroin, Cash Found During Traffic Stop

On June 28, 2017 Walker County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Beeman conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 45 North at mile post 115 for a Traffic Violation.
Deputy Beeman reported that the driver and occupants all appeared nervous and all gave conflicting stories.  The deputy says that the group did  grant him consent to search the vehicle.
Deputy Beeman located a hidden compartment containing approximately 15 pounds of powder cocaine, one-half pound of heroin and $128,222.00 in U.S. currency.  The WCSO estimates the “street value” of the drugs to be about $130,000.

The driver and both occupants, listed as Willie Craig, Navonte White, and Teaira Johnson, were arrested and booked into the Walker County Jail.
Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae says he is proud of the work done by both Deputy Beeman and his K9 partner Akie.
