SHTP to Host Mayoral Candidate Forum

The Sam Houston Tea Party will host Mayoral candidate Andy Brauninger on Monday evening, November 30th at the Katy and E. Don Walker Education Center, 1402  19th Street from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are open to the public.

 Andy Brauninger is one of the two run-off candidates for Mayor of Huntsville.  During the evening, Mr. Brauninger will answer a series of questions. Donna Pinon, spokesperson for VOLT, (Voters for Lower Taxes PAC) will serve as moderator.  Questions from city residents will be asked, as time allows.  SHSU students are invited to attend this event.  The Walker Education Center is within easy walking distance from campus.  Citizens are encouraged to bring their questions in writing.
The second Mayoral candidate, Keith Olson, declined Sam Houston Tea Party’s invitation to participate in a two person Candidate Forum.   For more candidate information (Federal, State and County) go to www.samhoustonteaparty.com.
The mayor is an at-large position that may be voted on by qualified voters of the City of Huntsville. City voters whose registration is valid on the day they vote (early voting or election day – Sat. Dec. 12th) may vote in this election regardless of whether they voted on Nov. 3, 2015.  Early Voting and Election Day voting (Saturday, December 12th) will be held at the Walker County Annex, 1301 Sam Houston Ave.
