November Election Filings for Huntsville City Ballot

The City Council seats for a Mayor At-large and Councilmembers for Wards 1-4 will be on the November 7, 2017 general election ballot. Filing for the positions ran from July 22, 2017 to August 21, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the office of the City Secretary.

Nine citizens have filed to run on the ballot:

– Mayor – Current Mayor Andy Brauninger and George H. Russell

– Ward One – Councilmember Joe Emmett and Timothy Charles Owl Davis
– Ward Two – Councilmember Tish Humphrey
– Ward Three – Councilmember Ronald Allen and Mader Hedspetch
– Ward Four – Councilmember Joe Rodriquez and Michelle Bright

Drawing for ballot order will be held in the large conference room at City Hall on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 8:00 a.m.

Candidate packets for the 2016 City of Huntsville General Election are available through the office of the City Secretary at City Hall, 1212 Avenue M, or on the City web site at http://www.huntsvilletx.gov/Elections. Candidates may formally declare as write-in candidates (per the Texas Election Code) through 5 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017. Named or write-in candidates may withdraw through 5 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2017.

    Fake conservatives are picking the pockets of our taxpaying citizens. Huntsville needs to actually DRAIN THE SWAMP and MAKE HUNTSVILLE GREAT AGAIN.
