Services for Rudy Deshon Love, 83, of Huntsville, will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Farris Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 21, from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m.. at the funeral home.Rudy Love passed away at

Mr. Love passed away after a brave battle with cancer. He was born in Huntsville, Texas to William and Fannie on Sept. 9, 1935 and raised in West Sandy. He was the eighth of ten children.

Rudy was preceded in death by his father William; mother Fannie; brothers Bobby, Knox, Lee Troy, Cecil and James G. (Tody); and sister Gertrude Walker. He survived by his wife Deborah; son Erick and wife Ann and their children Kaylen, Dane and Brooke; son Joey and his children Dalton, Will, Carly and Austin; daughter Lillian, son Rudy Jr, daughter Melissa and their children; sisters Fannie Thomas, Margaret Cooke and husband David, and Mae Bush; and numerous nieces, nephews and family.

During his lifetime he was an interior designer, magazine Publisher, and developed a successful Food Distribution Company. He was widely known for his generosity and compassion towards others and his quick wit. He was truly a Christian man who was loved by many and will be truly missed. PaPa’s legacy is his love for his family, and especially his grandchildren.
