Obituary for Fredrica Ann Archer

Remembered for crafts, cooking, treats for friends, grandchildren

Memorial Services for Fredrica Ann Archer were conducted Thursday, Nov. 8, at at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Archer, 76, of Pearland, died Nov. 5, 2018. Known to family and friends as “Dreak,” “Mama” and “Mimi,” she was born to the late Edward and Grace peterson on May 28, 1942.

A loving mother and homemaker, Dreak was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends; especially over the holidays. She loved cooking up special treats for her greatest joy, her grandchildren. No one ever left her table hungry. She was a “crafty mom.” There was nothing she could not do with a glue gun and some ribbon.

Dreak was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Woodrow “Woody” Hugh Archer Sr. She was also predeceased by her sister Patricia Cox and her husband Roy Cox. Dreak is survived by her son Woodrow Hugh Archer Jr and his wife Dana, of Austin, Texas and son Bryan Paul Archer and his wife Kelly of Pearland, Texas. Two grandsons, Carson and Easton Archer, also survive her. Additionally she is survived by brother Jerry Peterson and wife Nina of Deridder Louisiana and Sister Neda Dorsett and husband Bill of Friendswood Texas and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Wingsong Care Center for providing loving attention and assistance with her care in recent years. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Dreak their greatest and warmest gratitude.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
