Devoted to family, friends and church
Born June 19, 1939, Dorothy Lillian Henry Rotramel died Sunday morning, Dec. 9, 2018.
She and her husband, Gene, have been part of the Huntsville community since 1999. She left an indelible mark on the world through a variety of relationships. Dorothy was ever the teacher to her students in elementary school or church, friends, or family.
Her joy, wisdom, and love for people grew from her relationship with Jesus Christ. As a pastor’s wife for more than 30 years, her impact on lives was deep and lasting. She taught people how to experience God’s best in life through her own relationship with Christ.
She was loved and admired by many, especially those in her family. Family members who survive her are: her husband of 60 years, Gene; her two sons (and their wives), Harvey Gene, Jr (Susan) and Mark (Teresa); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind five siblings, Helen “Sugar” Roberts, Martha Roberds, Milton, Melton, and John Henry. One sister, Jane Nye, preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Second Baptist Church in Huntsville, TX. Her pastor, Gary Garrison, will officiate her services. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. that morning.
