Betty was born in Jan. 12uary 12, 1931 and died Dec. 31, 2018. She grew up in a small house, but in a large family- a family that was kept together by the commitment and dedication of their grandmother (Grandma Kelley) and Aunt Judy, who stepped in to raise them after their mother’s untimely passing. She was a graduate of Cleveland High School and Massey Business School. She spent her young adult years in Pasadena, Texas where she had a successful career in the accounting department at Industrial Towel and Uniform.
On Feb. 15, 1958 she married Lloyd Davison and they spent many wonderful years together living in Pasadena, Texas as well as some time in Canada and Brazil. Betty and Lloyd retired to Huntsville, Texas where she lived out the remainder of her life enjoying time with family and serving her Lord through faithful participation in Northside Baptist Church, a church she and Lloyd helped to found.
Betty was a selfless, giving person with a true servant’s heart. During her husband’s extended illness, Betty faithfully stood by his side and cared for his every need. Similarly, at the end of Betty’s life she was lovingly cared for by her sister Janie and nephew Roy with much support from other family members. She was a very special “Aunt Betty” to her many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all.
