Sheriff’s Dept Investigating Suspicious Death

Walker County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death at this time.

On Sunday March 15, 2015 just before 2:00 a.m. Walker County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Walker County EMS personnel were dispatched to an unconscious female at a residence in the 400 Block of FM 2550. A relative arrived at the home and found an unconscious female and called 911.

Upon arrival of EMS personnel they did not locate any vital signs on the victim who is identified as a Machelle Archie, 47 years of age. Precinct Four Justice of the Peace Stephen Cole pronounced the victim deceased an autopsy will be performed by the Montgomery County Forensic Services. It appears that Archie died from unnatural causes.

The Texas Rangers, Walker County District Attorneys’ Office and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit are assisting in the investigation.
