Huntsville Police Department seeking public’s assistance in identifying robbery suspects
On Saturday March 28th, shortly before 10:00 PM, officers with the Huntsville Police Department responded to a reported robbery at the Huntsville Food Mart #1, located in the 2300 block of Lake Road. The clerk of the business advised officers that two African-American males had entered the store wearing white t-shirts and white hats, produced a handgun, and demanded the money from the cash register. The clerk then gave the suspects an undisclosed amount of money from the register and the suspects fled the scene. It is possible there was a third African American male suspect wearing a black t-shirt who acted as a lookout for the other two. It is believed the suspects fled the scene in a small, blue four-door car, possibly with out-of-state license plates.
The Huntsville Police Department is investigating this offense as an Aggravated Robbery due to a weapon being used during the offense. They are asking the community for assistance in identifying the suspects. If a citizen has information regarding this offense, they are asked to call the Huntsville Police Department at 936-291-5480 or Crime Stoppers at 936-294-9494.
