City Offers Tours of Bond Election Facilities

Voters to consider $120M bond in November

The City of Huntsville will host tours of the public facilities  included in its proposed $120 million bond on the November ballot. At these tours, voters will have the opportunity to see each building.  City staff will be present to answer questions about the needs of each facility.

Tour dates are as follows:

Proposition 1: Public Safety Facilities
Huntsville Police Department :
Tuesday, Sept. 13 — 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Wednesday, September 14 — noon and 1 p.m.
Huntsville Fire Station No. 2 :
Tuesday, Sept. 13 — 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 14 — noon and 1 p.m.

Proposition 2: City Services Facilities
City Service Center:
Wednesday, Sept, 21 — noon
Thursday, Sept. 22– 5:30 p.m.

Proposition 3: City Waterworks and Sewer Facilities
Palm Street Water Treatment Plant:
Monday, Sept. 26 — noon and 5:30 p.m.
A.J. Brown Wastewater Treatment Plant:
Tuesday, Sept. 27 — 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 28 — noon
N. B. Davidson Wastewater Treatment Plant:
Thursday, Sept. 29 — 5:30 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 30 — noon

  1. If you truly care about the future of Huntsville, Please “VOTE NO” on the bonds!!! There are many larger cities, with significantly higher tax bases, that would love to have the current facilities we have!! $128 million is ridiculous for a city of 39,000 +/-!!! VOTE NO!
