Stolen Firearm Recovered During Drug Raid

On Friday, January 20, 2017, as part of an ongoing narcotics operation, the Huntsville Police Department’s SWAT Team executed a search warrant on Old Houston Road. Detectives from the Huntsville Police Department developed information that illegal narcotics and stolen guns were in a residence at 3001 Old Houston Road.

The Huntsville Police Department’s SWAT team, with assistance from the Walker County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team and Huntsville/Walker County EMS, served the search warrant which resulted in the seizure of 1.7 oz. of marijuana and a stolen AR-15 assault rifle.

In addition to the seizure of the illegal drugs and the stolen AR-15 assault rifle, the search warrant resulted in the arrest of two individuals:

Arturo Peralez III (DOB: 10-10-1996) Possession of Marijuana (MB)
Xavier Faison (DOB: 12-03-1997)Theft of Firearm (SJF)Possession of Marijuana (MB)

Huntsville Police Chief Kevin Lunsford stated, “The continued cooperation between the Huntsville Police Department and the community resulted in the removal of illegal narcotics and the recovery of a stolen firearm from the streets of Huntsville.”

The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are anticipated.
