Huntsville Audubon Seeking Volunteers

117th Audubon Christmas Bird Count Planned

Local residents are invited to join in the Huntsville Audubon Annual Christmas Bird Count on Saturday, December 31, 2016.

Group organizers say they need lots of help, whether you are an advanced birder or a first-time novice .   Parents:  junior birders are welcome. Even if you are not the greatest birder, they need volunteers who will drive, spot or scribe.

With the help of volunteers, the data collected will fuel important science and conservation work to protect the birds and their needs.

Organizers ask that volunteers meet at 7:15 AM at the Starbucks at the intersection of I-45 and Hwy 30  where teams and geographic areas will be assigned.

For further information or to volunteer contact Anne-Marie at anneprouty@sbcglobal.net or call her at (936) 581-4761.
