The City of Huntsville’s Fire Department was recently awarded a generous grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to purchase much-needed equipment. The Foundation contributed $13,765.46 to purchase 10 automated external defibrillators (AEDs); one set of rescue struts; four swift water rescuer vests; a 15′ throw bag rope; two inflatable water safety vests (PFDs); and miscellaneous small items for the HFD rescue boat. Chief Greg Mathis was very appreciative of the donation.
“The Foundation is making a difference in our community with this generous contribution,” said Mathis. “We are proud to stand with them to improve the department’s rescue skills and overall readiness.”
Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and Firehouse Subs is the largest corporate supporter.
