HISD Offering Free Sports Physicals

HISD Athletcs partners With HMH–Sports Medicine to offer HHS and MMPS athletes free sports physicals.

Huntsville ISD is proud to announce that student athletes at Huntsville High School and Mance Park Middle School will be offered the opportunity to have a FREE Sports Physical for the upcoming school year. Each year, student athletes must complete required UIL paperwork, Huntsville ISD Medical information, and have a current physical on file prior to participating in any sport.

Head Football Coach, Rodney Southern and Head Athletic Trainer, Brian Parker are organizing this event in partnership with Huntsville Memorial Hospital-Sports Medicine again this year to provide the necessary physicals at no charge to our student athletes. The goal is to have every current and incoming athlete get their required physical completed during the May 17 & 18 event as well as finish and submit all the necessary
paperwork.

Athletic paperwork can be obtained from the student’s coach. HISD Athletics asks that parents/guardians help complete the information and promptly return the paperwork with the student on the day of their scheduled physical. The schedule is as follows:

  • May 17 – HHS current 9th – 12th grade during athletic periods
  • May 18 – MPMS current 7 – 8th grade

**Additionally, current 6th grade who wish to participate in sports at MPMS, will be transported to MPMS to complete their physicals at 9 AM on the 18th.

All inquiries can be addressed by calling 936.435.6153 to the Head Athletic Trainer’s office.
